המניפסט הקומוניסטי" של קארל מרכס ופרידריך אנגלס הוא פרסם פוליטי שהתפרסם ב-1848. הוא נכתב בעידוד הליגה הקומוניסטית, ומציג את התיאוריה שכל ההיסטוריה מושפעת על ידי הקרבות בין שכבות האוכלוסייה. המחברים אנליזים כיצד הקפיטליזם יוצר עוינות בין השכבה העובדת לבין אלה שברשותם אמצעי הייצור, וחוזים כי הקפיטליזם יהרוס את עצמו בשל סתירות פנימיות, מה שיביא למהפכה ולחברה ללא שכבות. המניפסט מציע יוזמות פוליטיות לתקופת המעבר, ומסתיים בקריאה המפורסמת לאחדות בין שכבת העובדים בכל המדינות.
