Tietoa kirjasta
"Tyll Ulenspiegel und Lamm Goedzak: Legende von ihren heroischen, lustigen und…" by Charles De Coster is a French-language novel published in 1867. This epic tale transforms the medieval German trickster Till Eulenspiegel into a Flemish folk hero fighting Spanish oppression during the Dutch Revolt. When young prankster Thyl's father is burned at the stake by the Inquisition, he evolves from idle joker into a dangerous spy for William the Silent. Carrying his father's ashes around his neck, Thyl wages a personal war of tricks, espionage, and rebellion across the war-torn Low Countries.
