Het portret van Dorian Gray
Over dit boek
"Het portret van Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde is a philosophical fiction and Gothic horror novel published in 1890. When a beautiful young man wishes that his portrait would age instead of him, his desire is mysteriously granted. As Dorian pursues a life of hedonistic pleasure and immoral experiences, he remains youthful while his portrait transforms, recording every sin upon its canvas. This exploration of beauty, morality, and the corrupting influence of unchecked desire became Wilde's only novel and a classic of Gothic literature.
