correction of original text
Sometimes I also want to improve the original text, e.g. I download subtitles from YouTube that are not broken into sentences, there are only words but no punctuation marks. I would correct this while reading.
It will be nice feature. I also need to correct the text I'm reading (especially punctuation marks and spaces)
The file type is usually .vtt on YouTube but I believe there is another as well for subtitle files. It would also be useful to be able to export a final product in different file types from Smart Book, such as .vtt and .txt
The other subtitle file type is .srt
I firmly believe that the ability to correct / modify the original text is one of the most important elements to introduce at this time. Ready-made books are good for advanced learners, while people new to learning a language will often want to create their own "books" / phrasebooks / monologues / dialogues using the vocabulary they are interested in at the time. This approach to learning a foreign language forces the possibility of making corrections and additions to the text.
I have a prompt in the free version of Gemini AI to remove line breaks and other characters from subtitles downloaded via the 'Get Subtitles' extension in Google Chrome. The prompt also adjusts and divides my text into short paragraphs to create a better sentence layout in SmartBook. I believe this could solve what Zbigniew S. mentioned regarding the ability to automatically repair an imported book via an AI service.
