"Amerikan löytöretken päiväkirja" by Christopher Columbus is a diary and logbook written in 1492-1493 about his first voyage to the New World. The journal documents Columbus's journey from Spain to the Americas, recording daily events, crew morale, wildlife encounters, and his first contact with indigenous peoples. The original manuscript has been lost since 1504, surviving only through an abstract by Bartolomé de las Casas discovered in 1790, making it a fragmentary yet invaluable record of European exploration.
