دربارهٔ این کتاب
کتاب «سفر بیگل» نوشته چارلز داروین، کتابی است که در سال ۱۸۳۹ منتشر شد و روایتدهنده اکستپدیشن پنجساله کشتی HMS بیگل به دور دنیا میباشد. این اثر هم به صورت خاطرات سفری و هم به عنوان یک مجله علمی نوشته شده است؛ در آن، داروین مشاهدات دقیق خود را در زمینههای زیستشناسی، زمینشناسی و انسانشناسی در سرزمینهای دوردست ثبت کرده است. این کتاب در حالی نوشته شد که داروین در حال تدوین نظریههای انقلابی خود درباره تکامل بود؛ تجربیات او از سفر به آمریکای جنوبی و مناطق دیگر را به تصویر میکشد و شرحی زنده از مکانها و کشفیاتی ارائه میدهد که بخش عمدهای از تاریخ علم را شکل دادند.
