Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegelin teos ”Kaunotaiteen filosofia, osa 1 (4:stä)” on vuonna 1835 julkaistu luentomuistiinpanojen kokoelma. Hegelin vuosina 1818–1829 pitämien estetiikan yliopistoluentojen pohjalta teos tarkastelee taidetta absoluuttisen hengen ilmentymänä – sitä, mitä Hegel kutsuu ”kauniiksi ideaaliksi”. Hän jäljittää taiteen kehitystä symbolisen, klassisen ja romanttisen vaiheen kautta ja tarkastelee viittä keskeistä taidemuotoa arkkitehtuurista runouteen. Tekstissä tutkitaan, miten totuus ilmenee kauneuden kautta ja miten taiteen rooli ihmisen tietoisuudessa kehittyy.
